Strange World: first trailer, poster and release date for the next Disney Classic

The next animated film (or rather: the 61st Classic) Disney will be called Strange World – A Mysterious World: will arrive at the cinema this November, to be precise on the 24th (coincides with Thanksgiving in the United States, although it will be available there from 23). We have a very first teaser trailer, not too long: just a minute and a half. The film will tell the story of a family of space pioneers who ended up in a very strange world, “beyond time and space”. The trailer shows massive inspirations from the so-called retrofuturist movement … and Indiana Jones, starting with the official logo of the film (but not only).

The film project had already been announced just over two years ago. For the moment we don’t have many details on the cast of voice actors: the main role of Searcher Clade (it was the original title of the film, it was changed last year) will be played by Jake Gyllenhaal (Prince of Persia, Spider-Man: Far From Home), and it has been confirmed that Alan Tudyk will also be there (science fiction fans will probably remember him for playing “Wash” in Firefly and Serenity), although he’s not yet well clear what character he will play.

The film is directed by Don Hall, who has dealt with, among others Big Hero 6 (for which he also won an Oscar), Encanto, and Raya and the Last Dragon; the screenplay, on the other hand, will be edited by Qui Nguyen, generally more active in the world of theater but who had collaborated with Raya himself. Frozen creators will also be involved. Disney has also released the official poster for the film, which we include below:
